Supernatural & Religion
Characters
Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki):
The younger of the Winchester brothers, Sam has suffered a lot of pain over the years. He left the hunting lifestyle for awhile and was going to school to become a lawyer, until Azazel, the demon that killed his mother also killed his girlfriend. Sam has some evil qualities as he was fed demon blood (by Azazel) as a baby, and as he grew older he possessed some demonic powers that grew stronger when he consumed demon blood. He is the true "vessel" for Lucifer, the human body the arc angel occupies in order to walk on earth. While Sam has spend some time battling with him self and which side of the fight he belongs on, Sam fights for the good of others along side his brother to rid the world of all supernatural beings.

Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles):
The oldest Winchester, Dean is unlike his brother as he has always been involved in the hunting lifestyle, even at a young age. He would hunt with his father and try to keep Sam safe, his main goal has always been and always will be to protect his family especially his younger brother. Dean is the opposite of Sam in a lot of ways, he is the true "vessel" for Michale the son of God, the angel who destroyed his brother Lucifer in the beginning, and who represent Good while Lucifer represents Evil. Dean fights for the good and tries to rid the world of all evil while keeping his loved ones safe. Dean like Sam has struggled over the seasons, fighting within him self and struggling with what choices to make but in the end good always wins for Dean.
Crowley (Mark A. Sheppard):
Also know as the King of Hell, Crowley is the person in charge of the demons, and the souls of individuals condemned to hell. People who "sell their soul to the devil are ultimately giving their soul to Crowley. In the beginning he is the main adversary of Sam and Dean but as the show progresses he ends up working along side the brothers more than once in order to fight Lucifer and to save his crown and title as the King of Hell. In the later seasons Crowley is one of the favourite characters and he offers humour in the darkest of times throughout the series.
Crowley's name is based off of Aleister Crowley (aka the beast), who was responsible for developing "the religion Thelema, and identifying himself as the profit entrusted with guiding humanity into the Aeon of Hours in the early 20th century." (N/A, 2018)

Castiel (Misha Collins):
Castiel or Cas, is an angel from Heaven who is using his vessel to work along side of the Winchester brothers, fighting demons, monsters, and all evil beings on earth. In the beginning of his time on the series, he is fighting for Heaven in order to keep the world safe from Hell and the demons. However, as the show goes on he is less worried about Heaven and more concerned with saving the brothers and working with Sam and Dean to fight their battles. After helping the Winchesters for many years, he starts to develop emotions and caring for the brothers, which is rare and unusual with angels but he is like another brother to Sam and Dean.
